Far more than your standard wine tour!!!

This is a lifetime experience not to miss and to forget. You are out with the delightful and entertaining Jan, the owner, storyteller, professional guide, winemaker in his spare time, in a luxurious Renault Master Bus, on a relaxed, fun-filled, educational tour!

His knowledge keeps the day filled with conversations and fun facts.

Just read the reviews and you will get a clear idea of this experience.

Your tour experience starts at your accommodation where he will pick you up (Launceston CBD). Pick up is from 9:15 am or thereabouts. In a luxurious Renault Master Bus, you will be taken through the meandering and picturesque Tamar Valley to be entertained by its history, stories, produce and of cause - the wines! The tour takes you to boutique wineries off the beaten track where you will taste extraordinary wines. The BIG BIG bonus is that you will meet the owners and winemakers themselves. They don’t mind your questions. Ask as many as you want and learn as much as you can!

Throughout the day you can relax and enjoy short drives to each destination. Along the voyage, we will take you to some of the Tamar Valley’s boutique vineyards and cellar doors, where you will have the opportunity to taste the delicious award-winning, cool-climate wines that have made the region famous. There will be scenic stops too.

At our lunch stop, you will be served a delectable platter made from fresh local Tasmanian produce, accompanied with a tasting flight. For those of you who have food allergies, are vegetarian or vegan, don’t stress, we have you covered!

We were lucky enough to book this amazing boutique tour through the Tamar. It was above and beyond expectations, Jan didn`t just take us on a trip, he took us on a journey through the history and many funny stories of Tasmania, to the beautiful wineries, gin distillery and even an olive farm. Jan was an amazing host and guide, making a special connection with all of us from the start and it was sad to say goodbye. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a special and unique adventure through the Tamar.

Stop searching for comments! I did when I booked too, and am glad to have spent the day with Jan. I observed several other tour guides on the day, as we moved around, and am glad we chose Jan. His knowledge and care factor is second to none.

If you want to tour with a bit of sightseeing and background knowledge, this is the one. We visited 6 wineries, including a craft beer place along with visiting one of the local lavender farms.

Jan dropped us off at our dinner spot at the end of the day, and surprised us by coming back to pick us up and take us back to the hotel )all after hours) - what a great man and ambassador to the region!
